I am 34 weeks pregnant, almost 35 weeks.
I cant sleep! nothing works to make me fall asleep, and when i finally fall asleep i wake up 3-5 times a night to go pee, or i just wake up and look around my room.
when i wake up in the AM i have actual memory of tossing around and getting up, so its not like i just stur and then fall back asleep its like i actually fully wake up.
in the AM i feel even more tired then i did when before i went to bed, its horrible.
yesterday my fiance and i were at the mall and we got some lunch, i almost fell asleep at the table in the mall. it was horrible! i dont feel safe driving because how tired i get.
when i try to fall asleep at night i get a sudden bout of energy, i have tried:
exercise
a warm bath
pillow mist
sex
cleaning
going on the computer
reading
watching boring late night tv
tea
tylenol pm
tylenol 3
having my fiance tickle my arms [that used to help me fall asleep]
pillows
different positions
but the thing is i just dont FEEL tired, my mind is 100% awake but my body is really tired, i WANT to sleep, i dont want to do anything else but i cant fall asleep, or stay asleep!
i honestly think that medication is the only thing that will help me, have any of you ladies used any kind of sleep medication later on during your pregnancies? i need sleep its effecting me horribly i fall asleep at work and at odd times of the day when i should be alert
it hasnt been unusual for me to be awake at 6am and not go back to sleep till after 1 am, and still wake up 3-5 times a night.
please ANY advice helps! what can i say to my DR about this? i havce told him i cant sleep before and all he said was that its normal i dont feel like this is normal at all!
okay if i am saying this is not normal its NOT. i know my body and i am truely suffering, i had the normal pregnancy insomnia before but this is way worse and way different.
